NTFS Files Show Up In Colors

Why Some Files Show Up In Colors In Windows Explorer?



You can toggle this option easily by choosing -->Tools-->Folder Options, and on the View Tab, scroll down to "Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in Color"

They can be toggled either on or off by checking or unchecking this box.

Windows supports this scheme for users to easily distinguish these types of files from others.
